About

I am currently a PhD student investigating methods for accelerating multi-agent reinforcement learning by coordinating teams consisting of agents which have existing relevant skills. I’m a member of the Autonomous Agents Research Group at the University of Edinburgh, as part of the 4-year RAS-CDT programme of the Edinburgh Centre for Robotics. You can find my research on Semantic Scholar. Before this, I completed my MEng at the University of Cambridge.

I am aiming to finish my PhD in December 2024, and am actively looking for job opportunities starting January 2025, ideally London-based or remote, but I’d consider opportunities UK-wide. If you’re looking for an AI research scientist/engineer with expertise in reinforcement learning and multi-agent systems, please get in touch via email.

I am broadly interested in multi-agent systems, reinforcement learning (and general topics in AI/ML), robotics, forecasting, dynamical systems, mathematics, software development. I’m also interested in Effective Altruism, and help organise EA Edinburgh and AI Safety Hub Edinburgh (AISHED).

My non-technical interests/hobbies include local conservation work, weightlifting, geocaching, reading, and many other things.
